An exciting opportunity has become available for a Management Accountant at one of the World’s leading audio rental companies.  Britannia Row Productions Ltd, part of the Clair Global group, provides audio services to the entertainment industry and retains an impressive client list. We supply high end audio equipment and skilled audio engineers to music tours, sporting and corporate events around the world.

 

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will produce timely, accurate management information for Britannia Row Productions and the Clair Global Group. The role will include:

  • Preparation and analysis of job costing
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and reports
  • Sales Forecasting Analysis
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation & Analysis
  • Assistance with preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Assistance with year-end financials and annual audit
  • Supervise and cover for Financial Controller
  • Processing of credit cards and staff expenses
  • Processing intercompany transactions
  • Processing month-end journals including accruals, prepayments and deferred income
  • Provide assistance/cover to AP and AR as appropriate.
  • Ad-hoc duties

Person Specification

Accounting Skills, knowledge and Experience

  • A part-qualified Accountant with 3-4 years’ experience in an accounting function.
  • Good knowledge and experience in management accounting, including the preparation of budgets and forecasting.
  • Prior experience with answering audit queries and requests.
  • Prior experience or confidence with manipulating sets of transactional data.
  • Prior experience or familiarity with AP/AR best practices.
  • Experienced in working in an entrepreneurial SME environment.
  • Commercially minded with sound business knowledge

Personal Skills and attributes

  • Possess good oral and written communication.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to work with colleagues of all levels including non-finance members of staff.
  • The ability to work to deadlines with accuracy and an eye for detail.
  • Be ambitious, self-motivated and energetic with a willingness to take on increased responsibilities.
  • Interest in improving processes and systems.
  • Ability to problem solve and prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office user (Intermediate Excel is the minimum requirement).
