An exciting opportunity has become available for an Accounts Assistant at one of the World’s leading audio rental companies. Britannia Row Productions Ltd, part of the Clair Global group, provides services to the entertainment industry, retaining an impressive client list. We supply high end audio equipment and skilled audio engineers to music tours, sporting and corporate events around the world.

Job Summary

The Accounts Assistant will report to the Financial Controller and will support the Accounts Payable function for the UK brands of the Clair Global Group. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, organised, and eager to develop a career in finance. Key Responsibilities include the following:

  • Process supplier invoices and credit notes in a timely and accurate manner
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and/or ensure appropriate approval for payment
  • Preparation of twice monthly payment runs in compliance with company policies
  • Respond to supplier queries and resolve discrepancies promptly (liaising with internal departments as necessary)
  • Reconcile and verify supplier statements
  • Maintain accurate supplier database (onboarding & amendments)
  • Process and payment of employee expenses per company policy
  • Process intercompany rebills from companies within the Clair Group
  • Process and reconciliation of company credit card
  • Cover for Account Receivable – raising sales invoices, posting receipts & bank reconciliations
  • Cover for Senior Accounts Payable
  • Assist with external audit queries and schedules as required
  • Ad-hoc finance projects and month-end journals or tasks as required
  • Any other duties deemed necessary for the smooth running of the department

Person Specification

Skills, knowledge and Experience

  • A-level qualifications; finance qualification desirable (or working towards/aspired to)
  • Minimum 2yr experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience of accounting software (IFS desirable)
