Job Title: Warehouse Technician – Check-In Team, Prep & De-Prep Department

We are currently seeking Warehouse Technicians to join our newly established Check-In Team within the Prep & De-Prep Department. This is a great opportunity for individuals with experience in live events, exhibitions, or broadcast to be part of an exciting and growing team.
The Check-In Team takes ownership for the Check-In of all returning stock into our warehouse. Determining high priority or quick turn around items while facilitating an overall more efficient return of equipment back to our departments and to our ‘Ready to Rent’ status.
What will you do?
As part of the team you will oversee the check-in of all items that return to the warehouse, collaborating with your team members, other warehouse departments, Heads of Department (HOD) and Warehouse Management (WM) to provide efficient and accurate processing of equipment.
The main job tasks will be:
- Assist with the processing of the daily inbound equipment relevant to the Check-In team
- Ensure efficient order processing by following newly created guidelines and workflows alongside direction from the management team
- Communicate effectively and regularly with the team Supervisor regarding the progress of goods and services returned by our clients
- Collaborating with other department team members on all aspects of warehouse logistics and day-to-day operational requirements of the Check-In team
- Any other work deemed necessary for the smooth running of the team and the Warehouse
Warehouse and Equipment management
- Liaising daily with the Check-In Supervisor to ensure an understanding of the requirements of the day’s priorities, deadlines, specific actions required and points to note on a per project resolution
- Liaising daily with Check-In Supervisor and when required helping to organise a team of people needed to handle the requirements of each job and deadlines
- Assist with the processing of the daily inbound equipment relevant to the Check-In team, including but not limited to touring projects and internal transfers
- Check-in of all returning equipment with the aim of getting to 0% within the company’s rental software. Daily completion of tasks or deadlines set by the Department Management team including but not limited to processing of time-sensitive or high priority items such as ‘Quick Turnaround Items’
- Disassembly of equipment racks and organisation of all returning goods on a per project and per department resolution
- Ensuring that our clients have returned all our equipment and flagging if anything additional has returned
- Reporting to Line Manager/Warehouse Manager/Operations team/Relevant HODs of any incidents of damaged, lost or missing equipment
- Verify unreturned items using the company’s rental software with a high degree of accuracy
- Collaborate with Inventory Manager on interrogating the ‘missing in action’ (MIA) list
- On the job supervision, management and training of casual workers and apprentices
- Collaborate with your line manager, sharing observations and or opportunities where the department could improve throughput speed and efficiency to meet our regular time-sensitive requirements and deadlines
- Identification and management of third party owned equipment on project return. Ensuring sub hired equipment passes to relevant department for de-prep and dispatch and any client or crew owned equipment is segregated for processing
- Liaising with HOD’s as equipment has been processed through the check-in team and is ready to behanded back to the individual departments
- Ownership of all HOLD equipment once received and processed into the building by the General Warehouse Team
i. Verifying all ‘on hold’ items are accounted for
ii. Movement and mapping of equipment to designated holding area
iii. Return of ‘on hold’ equipment to designated outbound area
- Maintaining an organised, safe, clean and tidy department always, including all six processing bays, assignable rooms and the twelve bays on the 1st Floor and holding areas on the Mezzanine
- Assist with organisation of equipment within the four truck bays if workload and capacity permit it
- Operate the Pedestrian Stacker, Folk Lift and Reach Trucks if training and work load permits
- Develop your knowledge of the company’s internal rental software beyond the basic day to day functions allowing for more in-depth understanding and interaction with the platform

What are we looking for?:
- An understanding of Audio Systems with the ability to identify a basic level of our audio equipment inventory
- Hands on experience of working with audio systems
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Technically minded
- Attention to detail
- An appetite for learning with a “can-do” attitude
- Ability to work in a focused and efficient manner
- Flexibility and availability to work extended hours and some weekends
The following would be advantageous, however on-the-job training will be provided:
- Electronics, audio or computing degrees
- Experience installing AV, electrical or IT network equipment
- Experience in inventory management using a barcode system or similar
- Experience working at live events or venues in a technical capacity
- A working knowledge of DiGico, Avid, SSL or Allen and Heath console systems

Our operating hours are 8am to 8pm. Normal working hours are 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday, but you will be expected to work some shifts (8am-4pm and 12pm-8pm), some weekends and additional hours as the business requires. Overtime is paid at single rate Monday to Friday and at time and a half at weekends.
